St Marys Cathedral College

Completed over 3 stages, this project was a collaboration between Sydney Catholic Schools and The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and sought to provide refurbished facilities for both St Marys Cathedral and also St Marys Cathedral School. With many stakeholders seeking to benefit from the works, it was a great collaborative effort throughout the project by all to allow continuity of operations by both the college and cathedral in this live site while the works were completed. The works provided refurbished facilities for the college's music facilities and amenities, however, the majority of the work was associated with the cathedrals choir rooms. Acoustics were paramount with a beautiful bespoke timber wall panelling system developed in conjunction with Fulton Trotter Architects and Supawood specifically for this project. Existing coffered ceilings were retained with the addition of acoustic PB and ceiling tiles to improve their acoustic performance.
