Our Client secured a prominent but tired 4 level commercial building in Ultimo. The project involved construction and installation of a lift shaft, and new lift, complete with substantial upgrade of the fire services, all prior to the refurbishment and fitout. These works included new ceilings, lighting, carpet, workstations, and services.
On the ground floor a wine tasting area was created, plus a retail facility for cash sales. Landscaping on the roof, with BBQ, completed the project.
The building was constructed in the early 1900’s, with the internal and external fabric controlled by heritage orders preventing alterations. This required close collaboration with the Architect and compliance with the documentation intent.
“Bones” were found during the works which required input for direction from the Heritage Architect.
A successful business venture emerged.
