Downing Centre Phase 3A Early Works
Tendered to APP Corporation on behalf of the Department of Justice, this project was a part of a major renewal of the iconic Downing Centre Courts Complex on the corner of Liverpool and Elizabeth Streets, Sydney. This project involved the strip out of the below ground level commercial kitchen and the strip out and make good of the ground floor cafe.
Due to the sensitive nature of the existing heritage fabric of the building and the nature of the current users of the building, careful management was require by Trinity to ensure that our works did not impact on the daily operations of the building.
Through careful management and protection of the existing heritage elements, Trinity successfully handed the site back to the Department of Justice with all known heritage elements intact.
Additional elements that were uncovered during strip out work were also preserved during our works to be added to the buildings register of Heritage assets.
